Freitag, 27. Mai (heute habe ich frei)
Ich schlafe voll durch.
Um 6:30 Uhr klingelt der Wecker. Ich bin ganz kurz bei Facebook. Ab 7 schreibe ich im Zelt Tagebuch. Das dauert heute lange. Um 9:30 Uhr ist mein Tagebuch wieder aktuell. Ich kopiere den Text in den Blog. Und mache die englische Übersetzung. Dann gehe ich mich erstmal waschen.
Das Frühstück lasse ich heute ausfallen.
Ab 10:45 Uhr sitze ich im Aufenthaltsraum. Auch heute ist es sehr heiß.
Erstmal informiere ich mich im Netz über das Land Georgien.
Ab 11:20 mache ich eine Datensicherung der letzten Fotos auf der externen Festplatte. Und lade die Fotos von gestern hoch.
Ab 12:50 Uhr arbeite ich an meinem Buch.
Ich ergänze zunächst noch einige Kleinigkeiten. Aber jetzt ist mir nicht mehr viel eingefallen. Die meisten Texte stehen. Ab etwa 13:30 Uhr lese ich Korrektur. Das ist zwar eine langwierige und eintönige Arbeit. Aber mit der Vorlese Funktion klappt es sehr gut. Ich merke, dass ich immer besser werde. Und dass meine Texte richtig gut sind!
Um 16:10 Uhr fängt es an zu regnen und zu gewittern.
Es ist aber nur kurz.
Gegen Abend kommen Freunde von Yiğit. Sie grillen und laden mich zum Essen ein. Hähnchen und Salat. Später noch Köfte. Und Wassermelone! Es ist sehr lecker!
Gegen 19:30 Uhr schreibt Marcus mir. Er bekommt die Festplatte nicht zum laufen. Dann versucht er es an meinem Laptop. Auch da klappt es nicht. Das wundert mich. Irgendwann bitte ich ihn, dass er mal gucken soll, ob die anderen Festplatten funktionieren. Meine Musikplatte läuft. Das beruhigt mich. Und dann ist da noch eine unbeschriebene Festplatte…Marcus schließt sie an. Und da ist der Ordner drauf, den ich suche!
Sämtliche Protokolle meiner jahrelangen ehrenamtlichen Tätigkeiten. Diese Daten sind sehr nützlich, um die letzten Lücken in meiner Lebensgeschichte zu rekonstruieren.
Marcus wird mir den ganzen Ordner als Zip Datei schicken. Das dauert allerdings Da es doch recht viel ist. Aber egal…Hauptsache ich bekomme die Daten. Damit kann ich dann zeitnah mein Buch fertig stellen.
(Einige Daten werde ich allerdings nie mehr zu 100% rekonstruieren können. Da ich nach meinem Neuanfang im Jahr 2000 sehr viele Unterlagen aus meiner Jugendzeit entsorgt habe. Darunter meine gesamten Strafakten. Aber das ist dann so. Ich habe die Zeit aus meiner Erinnerung beschrieben. Mehr geht nicht)
Bis um 22 Uhr arbeite ich an der Korrektur. Und komme bis ins Jahr 2000.
Dann aktualisiere ich mein Tagebuch. Und bereite den Blogeintrag vor. Zuletzt mache ich noch eine Sicherheitskopie meiner Buchdatei. Um 22:50 Uhr mach ich das Tablet aus.
Ab etwa 23:15 Uhr bin ich im Zelt. Trinke meine Zitrone. Und bin noch kurz bei Facebook.
Ab 23:50 Uhr schlafe ich.
Weitere Planung:
Morgen habe ich noch einen vollen Tag. Dann stelle ich die Arbeiten erstmal ein. Sonntag bereite ich ja meine Weiterfahrt vor. Ich hoffe, dass ich im Bus weiter arbeiten kann. Wenn ich bis zu meiner Ankunft in Georgien noch nicht fertig bin, werde ich mir dort so bald wie möglich eine Unterkunft zum Arbeiten suchen. Ich will die Texte zeitnah zum Korrekturlesen verschicken. Und dann brauche ich nochmal etwa 2 Tage um die Bilder einzufügen. Und das ganze als Buch zu formatieren.
Die eigentliche Veröffentlichung sollte schnell gehen...
Erst wenn das erledigt ist, kann ich beruhigt weiter fahren.

At the campsite. Book correction
Friday, 27 May (I have today off).
I sleep soundly through the night.
At 6:30 the alarm clock rings. I am on Facebook for a very short time. From 7 I write diary in the tent. That takes a long time today. At 9:30 my diary is up to date again. I copy the text into the blog. And do the English translation. Then I go and wash myself.
I skip breakfast today.
From 10:45 I sit in the lounge. It is also very hot today.
First I look up information about Georgia on the Internet.
From 11:20 I make a backup of the last photos on the external hard drive. And upload the photos from yesterday.
From 12:50 I work on my book.
First I add a few small things. But now I can't think of much more. Most of the texts are finished. From about 13:30 I proofread. It's a tedious and monotonous job. But with the read aloud function it works very well. I notice that I'm getting better and better. And that my texts are really good!
At 16:10 it starts to rain and thunder.
But it is only short.
Towards evening, friends from Yiğit come. They barbecue and invite me for dinner. Chicken and salad. Later, köfte. And watermelon! It's very tasty!
Around 7:30 pm Marcus writes to me. He can't get the hard drive to work. Then he tries it on my laptop. It doesn't work there either. I am surprised. At some point I ask him to check whether the other hard disks are working. My music disk is working. That calms me down. And then there's a blank hard drive...Marcus plugs it in. And there's the folder I'm looking for on it!
All the logs of my years of volunteering. This data is very useful to reconstruct the last gaps in my life story.
Marcus will send me the whole folder as a zip file. However, it will take time as it is quite a lot. But no matter...the main thing is that I get the data. Then I can finish my book in time.
(However, I will never be able to reconstruct some of the data 100%. After my new start in 2000, I disposed of a lot of documents from my youth. Among them my entire criminal records. But that's the way it is. I have described the time from my memory. That's all I can do)
I work on the correction until 10 pm. And get as far as the year 2000.
Then I update my diary. And prepare the blog entry. Finally, I make a backup of my book file. At 10:50 pm I turn off the tablet.
From about 23:15 I am in the tent. Drink my lemon. And I briefly check Facebook.
From 23:50, I'm asleep.
Further planning:
Tomorrow I have another full day. Then I will stop working for the time being. On Sunday I will prepare for my onward journey. I hope I can continue working on the bus. If I haven't finished by the time I arrive in Georgia, I'll look for accommodation to work in as soon as possible. I want to send the texts for proofreading as soon as possible. And then I need another 2 days or so to insert the pictures. And to format the whole thing as a book.
The actual publication should be quick...
Only when that's done can I move on with peace of mind.
