Donnerstag, 12. August
Auch heute wache ich um 7 auf. Morgens sind sehr viele Mini Ameisen in meinem Zelt. Aber erstmal rasiere und dusche ich mich.
Dann räume ich das Zelt aus. Und wische es gründlich aus. Ich wische die Ameisen raus. Beim wieder einräumen achte ich darauf, dass keine Ameisen mit reinkommen. Das ist eine richtige Herausforderung. Aber ich schaffe es, das Zelt Ameisenfrei zu bekommen. Dann frühstücke ich Müsli. Heute ist es etwas kühler als in den letzten Tagen. Mittags kommt Andre vorbei. Er fährt heute für längere Zeit weg. Über Serbien, Kroatien, Slowenien, Österreich nach Deutschland. Einen Teil dieser Strecke bin ich ja auch gefahren. Er bringt mir eine große Portion Tortellini mit selbstgemachter Tomatensauce. Wir verabschieden uns. Ich esse die Tortellini zum Mittag.
Nachmittags fahr ich mit John zum Freibad. Zunächst fahren wir nach Kulata. Dort ist ja der Grenzübergang nach Griechenland. Es ist ein Teil der Strecke, auf der ich vorletzte Woche zum Campingplatz gefahren bin. (Bis zur Tankstelle) Dann fahren wir nach Petritsch. Hier war ich ja vorletzte Woche auch schon. Wir fahren zu einem Fahrrad Geschäft. Hier kaufe ich mir einen Speichenschlüssel. Von dort aus fahren wir zurück nach Marikostinovo. In diesem Ort ist das Freibad, wo wir gestern waren.
Der Mann an der Kasse lässt uns wie versprochen so rein. Bei dem schönen Sommerwetter ist das Bad recht voll.die meisten der Gäste sind Gäste von dem Spa Hotel zu dem das Bad gehört. Das Wasser ist eine tolle Abkühlung. Mir fällt auf, dass mein Internet nicht funktioniert. Ich werde mich demnächst mal darum kümmern. Wir verbringen etwa 2 Stunden hier. Dann nervt uns die Musik. Die ganze Zeit wird nur Black und Hip Hop gespielt. Wir fahren zurück zum Campingplatz. Etwa um 19 Uhr sind wir zurück. Hier ist es ruhig. Ich nehme mir erstmal mein Fahrrad vor. Und ziehe bei beiden Rädern die Speichen nach. Später spielen John, Sara und ich noch eine Runde Boul. Dann essen wir zusammen. Sara hat eine große Gemüsepfanne gemacht.
Es regnet etwas.
Abends reisen neue Gäste an. Eine deutsche Familie aus dem Schwarzwald. Sie bleiben aber nur für eine Nacht. Nach dem Essen wasche ich das Geschirr ab.
Danach unterhalte ich mich noch mit der Familie aus Deutschland.
Bis ich dann im Zelt liege und schlafe ist es etwa Mitternacht.

Thursday, 12 August
Also today I wake up at 7. In the morning there are lots of mini ants in my tent. But first I shave and shower.
Then I clean out the tent. And wipe it out thoroughly. I wipe out the ants. When I put it back in, I make sure that no ants get in with it. It's a real challenge. But I manage to get the tent free of ants. Then I have breakfast. Today it is a bit cooler than the last few days. At noon Andre comes by. He is going away for a long time today. Via Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Austria to Germany. I have travelled part of this route myself. He brings me a large portion of tortellini with homemade tomato sauce. We say goodbye. I eat the tortellini for lunch.
In the afternoon I drive with John to the open-air swimming pool. First we drive to Kulata. There is the border crossing to Greece. It is part of the route I took to the campsite the week before last. (Then we drive to Petritsch. I was here the week before last. We drive to a bicycle shop. Here I buy a spoke spanner. From there we drive back to Marikostinovo. In this village is the open-air swimming pool where we were yesterday.
The man at the ticket office lets us in as promised. With the beautiful summer weather, the bath is quite full. Most of the guests are guests of the spa hotel to which the bath belongs. The water is great for cooling off. I notice that my internet is not working. I will take care of it soon. We spend about 2 hours here. Then the music gets on our nerves. All they play all the time is Black and Hip Hop. We drive back to the campsite. Around 7 pm we are back. It is quiet here. First I take care of my bike. And tighten the spokes on both wheels. Later, John, Sara and I play a game of boul. Then we eat together. Sara has made a big vegetable pan.
It rains a little.
In the evening, new guests arrive. A German family from the Black Forest. But they only stay for one night. After dinner, I wash the dishes.
Afterwards I chat with the family from Germany.
By the time I lie down in the tent and sleep, it is about midnight.
