Dienstag, 08. Juni
Heute wache ich etwa um 6:45 Uhr auf. Ich dusche. Dann gehe ich nach vorne. Heute frühstücke ich Müsli. Es ist ein wundervoller Ort. Hier sind so tolle Menschen aus allen Teilen der Welt. Wir sind eine große Familie. Morgens schreibe ich den Bericht von gestern.
Später mache ich mit Vera aus der Schweiz und Lina aus Deutschland einen Rundgang auf dem Gelände. Es ist ein großes Areal mit viel Potential. Allerdings ist hier viel Arbeit. Ein Teil der Einrichtungen ist marode. Vieles wird nicht genutzt. Anderes fehlt. Besonders wichtig wäre eine Küche. Die beiden planen ein Hilfsprojekt für diesen Campingplatz. Sie haben eine Spendenkampagne gestartet. Neben Geld wird auch Hilfe bei der Umsetzung gebraucht.
Sofort ist mir klar, ich bleibe bis auf weiteres hier. Und ich werde mich mit meiner Arbeitskraft bei diesem Projekt einbringen.
Die Aufräumarbeiten sollen wahrscheinlich nächste Woche beginnen.
Für mich hat die Zeit hier etwas positives. Ich bleibe mindestens so lange hier, bis die Grenze zwischen Albanien und Griechenland geöffnet wird. Und kann dann ganz entspannt nach Griechenland weiter fahren.
Den Rest des Tages verbringe ich mit wunderbaren Menschen an diesem tollen Ort. Abends kochen und essen wir gemeinsam. Jeder bringt sich mit seinen Fähigkeiten in die Gemeinschaft ein. Ich schneide Gemüse und säge Feuerholz. Auch heute sitzen wir lange zusammen. Ich hab mich selten so wohl gefühlt wie hier. Der erzwungene Umweg hat mich an den bisher besten Platz meiner Reise geführt. Und das was jetzt passiert, ist bezeichnend für mein Leben. Ich verwandle negative Situationen in sehr positive Zeiten.
Es ist etwa 23 Uhr, als ich zu meinem Zelt gehe. Ich trinke heute meine Zitrone mit warmen Wasser.
Ab etwa Mitternacht schlafe ich.
Aid project for the campsite. I will stay here until further notice
Tuesday, 08 June
Today I wake up at about 6:45. I take a shower. Then I go to the front. Today I have cereal for breakfast. It is a wonderful place. There are such great people here from all parts of the world. We are one big family. In the morning I write yesterday's report.
Later, I go on a tour of the grounds with Vera from Switzerland and Lina from Germany. It is a large area with a lot of potential. However, there is a lot of work to be done. Some of the facilities are dilapidated. Many things are not used. Others are missing. A kitchen would be especially important. The two are planning an aid project for this campsite. They have started a fundraising campaign. Besides money, they also need help with the implementation.
It is immediately clear to me that I will stay here until further notice. And I will contribute my labour to this project.
The clean-up work will probably start next week.
For me, the time here has something positive. I will stay here at least until the border between Albania and Greece is opened. And then I can continue my journey to Greece without any worries.
I spend the rest of the day with wonderful people in this great place. In the evening we cook and eat together. Everyone contributes to the community with their skills. I cut vegetables and saw firewood. Today, too, we sit together for a long time. I have rarely felt as comfortable as I do here. The forced diversions has led me to the best place of my journey so far. And what is happening now is characteristic of my life. I turn negative situations into very positive times.
It's about 11 pm when I walk to my tent. I drink my lemon with warm water today.
From about midnight I sleep.
