Sonntag, 02. Mai
Auch heute schlafe ich wieder bis etwa 7 Uhr. Erstmal dusche ich. Dann gehe ich wieder mit dem Tablet in den Garten. Die beiden deutschen volunteers servieren draußen an der Bar ein tolles Frühstück für uns. Das ist ein guter Start in den Tag.
Mittags gehen wir in die Stadt. Wir gehen in den großen Park. Hier sind bei dem schönen Frühlingswetter viele Menschen unterwegs. Die Café Bars sind gut besetzt. Kaum jemand trägt eine Maske.
Den Nachmittag und Abend verbringe ich wieder in der Gemeinschaft mit lieben Menschen im Hostel.
Abends gibt es Spaghetti mit Gemüse.
Später holen wir beim Spar Supermarkt in der Nähe was zu trinken. Das Sortiment ist ähnlich wie in Kroatien. Es gibt viele deutsche Artikel. Hier mit albanischen Beschriftung. Zu meiner Freude gibt es sogar alkoholfreies Weizenbier. Auf die Flaschen ist kein Pfand. Hier in Albanien gibt es kein Pfandsystem.
In den Geschäften ist offiziell Maskenpflicht. Aber fast niemand trägt eine Maske. Es interessiert einfach keinen.
Wir sitzen bei Bier und Gitarrenmusik bis morgens 2:30 Uhr zusammen. Einer der anderen Gäste spielt extra für mich „Smoke on the water"
Es ist ein sehr guter Abend mit Schach und guten Gesprächen. Ich bin glücklich. Unter anderem solche Tage machen diese Reise zu etwas ganz besonderem. Ich bin erst seit vorgestern hier. Kannte niemanden. Aus fremden Menschen wurden sehr schnell Freunde.
Bis ich im Bett bin ist es 3 Uhr.

Again today I sleep until about 7am. First I take a shower. Then I go out into the garden again with my tablet. The two German volunteers serve a great breakfast for us outside at the bar. It's a great start to the day.
At noon we go into town. We go to the big park. There are lots of people out and about in the beautiful spring weather. The café bars are busy. Hardly anyone is wearing a mask.
I spend the afternoon and evening again in the company of dear people in the hostel.
In the evening we have spaghetti with vegetables.
Later we get something to drink at the Spar supermarket nearby. The assortment is similar to that in Croatia. There are many German articles. Here with Albanian labelling. To my delight, there is even non-alcoholic wheat beer. There is no deposit on the bottles. Here in Albania there is no deposit system.
Masks are officially compulsory in the shops. But almost nobody wears a mask. No one is interested.
We sit together with beer and guitar music until 2:30 in the morning. One of the other guests plays "Smoke on the water" especially for me.
It's a very good evening with chess and good conversation. I am happy. Among other things, days like this make this trip very special. I have only been here since the day before yesterday. I didn't know anyone. Strangers became friends very quickly.
By the time I am in bed it is 3 o'clock.
