Samstag, 11. Juni (Seit heute ist mein Internet gesperrt. Ich muss erst wieder Geld einzahlen)
Um 5 klingelt der Wecker. Ab 5:10 Uhr schreibe ich Tagebuch.
Um 6 breche ich es ab.
Wir packen Sachen. Andrea bittet mich eindringlich, dass Gewicht von meinem Rucksack zu reduzieren. Ich packe meinen Rucksack nochmal komplett aus. Und sichte alles neu.
Ich lasse einiges von meinen Sachen im Hostel. Unter anderem meine Vorratspackung Feuchttücher, meine Sandalen, den Beutel mit Ladekabeln, die ich nicht brauche, meine komplette Reiseapotheke usw. Mein großes Duschgel tausche ich gegen ein kleines Stück Seife. Außerdem hatte ich in meinem Rucksack noch diverse Unterlagen und Prospekte. Statt zwei 1,5 l Flaschen Wasser nehme ich nur 1 mit. Mit meiner Trinkflasche sind es trotzdem 2 l Wasser. Das reicht. Im Park sind überall Quellen und Wasserstellen. So reduziere ich (geschätzt) etwa 10 Kilo. Jetzt ist der Rucksack doch deutlich leichter.
Andrea nimmt ihr Zelt für uns beide mit.
Sie lässt ihr Fahrrad und das meiste Gepäck auch hier. Also kommen wir nach der Tour wieder hierher.
Zwischendurch wasche ich mich kurz. Und frühstücke schnell den Rest Eintopf von gestern.
Um 7:50 Uhr starten wir unsere 3 Tages - Wandertour.
Unser heutiges Tagesziel ist der 1. Shelter. Eine Schutzhütte .
Zunächst halten wir bei einem Einkaufszentrum an. Hier ist ein Geldautomat. Ich hebe 250 Lari von meinem Konto ab.
Dann gehe ich zu einem der Serviceautomaten. Um Geld auf meine Simkarte einzuzahlen. Die Menüführung ist auf georgisch. Aber man kann es auf englisch umstellen. Dann sehe ich, dass es doch die Option gibt, für 1 Monat einzuzahlen. Es kostet 30 Lari. Da ich keine passenden Scheine habe, zahle ich 45 Lari ein. Der Automat gibt kein Wechselgeld. Aber das macht nichts. Es wird ja gut geschrieben. Mein Internet wird sofort wieder freigeschaltet. Jetzt habe ich 1 Monat Ruhe. Das ist sehr gut.
Dann wandern wir los. Zunächst ein ganzes Stück durch die Stadt. Und an der Hauptstraße entlang. Um 9 kommen wir in den Wald. Und gegen 9:30 Uhr erreichen wir den Nationalpark. Nach kurzer Zeit kommen wir an einem Campingplatz vorbei. Wir gehen aber weiter. Die Wege sind teilweise schlecht oder nicht vorhanden. Es geht überwiegend bergauf. Wir kommen durch eine wunderschöne Landschaft. Hin und wieder machen wir Pause. Es ist eine tolle Wanderung!
Für heute Nachmittag war Gewitter angesagt. Aber es regnet nur mal kurz.
Gegen 16:45 Uhr kommen wir bei dem 1. Shelter an.
In dieser einfachen Hütte sind insgesamt 12 Betten. Es gibt einen Tisch mit Lebensmitteln. Aber keine Steckdosen. Und keinen Wasseranschluss.
Die Toilette ist ein Plumpsklo draußen. Die Wasserstelle ist ein Wasserschlauch in einiger Entfernung.
Auf dem Rasen vor der Hütte stehen einige Zelte.
Unter anderem sind 2 junge Frauen aus Deutschland hier. Greta und Maja kommen aus Bremen. Wir unterhalten uns kurz.
Andrea macht den Eintopf warm, den wir uns mitgenommen haben. Dann trinke ich noch meine Zitrone.
Andrea baut ihr Zelt auf.
Ich schlafe in der Hütte.
Die Betten sind einfach. Bretter. Ohne Matratze. Aber das macht nichts. Ich hab ja Iso Matte und Schlafsack.
Ab 20:50 Uhr schlafe ich.
Später kommen noch andere Gäste. Sie zelten aber.

Hike in the National Park - Day 1
Saturday, 11 June (Since today my internet is blocked. I have to deposit money again first).
At 5 the alarm clock rings. From 5:10 I write diary.
At 6 I break it off.
We pack things. Andrea urges me to reduce the weight of my backpack. I unpack my rucksack completely. And sift through everything again.
I leave some of my things at the hostel. Among other things, my supply of wet wipes, my sandals, the bag with charging cables I don't need, my complete first-aid kit, etc. I swap my large shower gel for a new one. I exchanged my large shower gel for a small bar of soap. I also had various documents and brochures in my backpack. Instead of two 1.5 l bottles of water, I only take one. With my water bottle I still have 2 litres of water. That's enough. There are springs and water points everywhere in the park. So I reduce (estimated) about 10 kilos. Now the backpack is much lighter.
Andrea takes her tent for both of us.
She also leaves her bike and most of her luggage here. So we come back here after the tour.
In between I have a quick wash. And have a quick breakfast of the leftover stew from yesterday.
At 7:50 a.m. we start our 3-day hiking tour.
Our destination for today is the 1st shelter. A shelter .
First we stop at a shopping centre. There is a cash machine here. I withdraw 250 Lari from my account.
Then I go to one of the service machines. To deposit money on my sim card. The menu is in Georgian. But you can change it to English. Then I see that there is the option to deposit for 1 month after all. It costs 30 Lari. As I don't have the right notes, I pay in 45 Lari. The machine doesn't give change. But that doesn't matter. It is credited. My Internet is immediately reactivated. Now I have 1 month of peace. That's very good.
Then we start walking. First quite a bit through the town. And along the main road. At 9 we enter the forest. And around 9:30 we reach the national park. After a short while we pass a campsite. But we go on. The paths are partly bad or non-existent. It is mainly uphill. We pass through a beautiful landscape. Every now and then we take a break. It is a great hike!
Thunderstorms were forecast for this afternoon. But it rains only briefly.
Around 16:45 we arrive at the first shelter.
There are 12 beds in this simple hut. There is a table with food. But no sockets. And no water supply.
The toilet is an outhouse outside. The water point is a water hose some distance away.
There are some tents on the lawn in front of the hut.
Among others, 2 young women from Germany are here. Greta and Maja come from Bremen. We chat briefly.
Andrea is warming up the stew we took with us. Then I drink my lemon.
Andrea puts up her tent.
I sleep in the hut.
The beds are simple. Planks. Without a mattress. But that doesn't matter. I have Iso mat and sleeping bag.
I sleep from 8:50 pm.
Later, other guests arrive. But they are camping.

We walked just under 21 km today.
