Gegen 7 wache ich auf. Ich dusche und frühstücke Müsli.
Heute morgen reist die Gruppe aus Tschechien wieder ab.
Gegen 9:40 Uhr fahre ich mit Fahrrad zum Einkaufen nach Përmet. Ich kaufe sehr viel Obst und Gemüse und Eier bei einem Straßenhändler. Dann mache ich einen Großeinkauf im Supermarkt. Ich kaufe unter anderem Waschmittel, Geschirrspülmittel für den Campingplatz. Zahnpasta auf Vorrat für mich (die Zahnpasta für schmerzempfindliche Zähne gibt es hier in Albanien nur in einigen wenigen Supermärkten), Eiscafé, alkoholfreies Bier, Milch, Nudeln und weitere Lebensmittel. Beim Backshop kaufe ich Börek für uns alle. Als ich zurückfahre, ist mein Rucksack und das Fahrrad schwer beladen mit dem Einkauf.
Den Rest des Tages verbringe ich wieder auf dem Campingplatz.
Ich mache mir immer mehr Gedanken über die Fortsetzung meiner Reise. Durch Gespräche mit Gästen und anderen Reisenden erfahre ich von der Situation an der Grenze zwischen Albanien und Griechenland. Es wird offenbar eine online Registrierung und zwingend ein PCR Test verlangt. Der kostet etwa 60€. Und es gibt keine legale Möglichkeit das zu umgehen. Eine kurze Internetrecherche bestätigt das. (Ich bin in letzter Zeit nur noch kurz online. Offizielle Nachrichten und alles was mit dem Virus Humbug zu tun hat ignoriere ich.) Für mich ist damit die Einreise nach Griechenland ausgeschlossen. Diesen Wahnsinn möchte ich nicht mit meinem Geld unterstützen. Ich werde sehr wahrscheinlich doch nach Nordmazedonien fahren. Und dann weiter über Bulgarien in die Türkei. In Nordmazedonien ist die Einreise ohne Auflagen möglich. Das bedeutet allerdings, dass ich im Verlauf der nächsten Woche diesen tollen Campingplatz verlassen müsste. Um Rechtzeitig mit Ablauf der 90 Tage am 24.7. über die Grenze zu kommen. Vielleicht besteht aber doch noch die Möglichkeit meinen Aufenthalt in Albanien zu verlängern.
Berat und Giovanna haben Fleisch gekauft. Abends grillen wir. Dann essen wir gemeinsam. Heute essen auch Freunde von Dona und Beni mit. Wir sitzen bis etwa 1:30 Uhr zusammen. Es ist ein toller Sommerabend mit guten Gesprächen und wunderbaren Menschen.

I wake up around 7. I take a shower and have cereal for breakfast.
This morning the group from the Czech Republic leaves again.
Around 9:40 I cycle to Përmet to do some shopping. I buy a lot of fruit and vegetables and eggs from a street vendor. Then I do a bulk purchase in the supermarket. Among other things, I buy washing powder, dishwasher detergent for the campsite. Toothpaste in stock for me (the toothpaste for pain-sensitive teeth is only available in a few supermarkets here in Albania), ice cream, non-alcoholic beer, milk, pasta and other groceries. At the bakery I buy börek for all of us. When I ride back, my backpack and the bike are heavily loaded with shopping.
I spend the rest of the day back at the campsite.
I think more and more about the continuation of my journey. Through conversations with guests and other travellers I learn about the situation at the border between Albania and Greece. Apparently, online registration and a mandatory PCR test are required. This costs about 60€. And there is no legal way to get around it. A quick internet search confirms this. (I've only been online for a short time lately. I ignore official news and everything that has to do with the virus humbug). For me, this rules out entry to Greece. I don't want to support this madness with my money. I will most likely go to northern Macedonia after all. And then on via Bulgaria to Turkey. In northern Macedonia, entry is possible without any conditions. However, this means that I would have to leave this great campsite in the course of the next week. In order to cross the border in time for the 90 days to expire on 24.7. But maybe there is still the possibility to extend my stay in Albania.
Berat and Giovanna have bought meat. In the evening we have a barbecue. Then we eat together. Today, friends of Dona and Beni join us. We sit together until about 1:30. It is a great summer evening with good conversations and wonderful people.
