<Das war der Donnerstag

Freitag, 19. März

Etwa um 6:45 Uhr wache ich auf. Erstmal gehe ich zum Sanitärgebäude. Rasiere mich. Und dusche. Dann koche ich mir Wasser mit dem Gaskocher. Ich setze mich auf die Liege am Strand. Und frühstücke. Müsli. Trinke Kaffee und meine Zitrone mit warmen Wasser. Anschließend lade ich den Tagesbericht und die Fotos von Dienstag hoch. Mittlerweile ist es 10 Uhr. Ich fange an, meine Sachen zusammen zu packen. Um 11 gehe ich zur Wäscherei. Hole meine Wäsche ab. Dort treffe ich Jonathan und seine Familie. Wir unterhalten uns kurz. Ich bekomme von Ihnen eine finanzielle Unterstützung für meine Reise. Das ist großartig! Dann verabschieden wir uns.

Ich packe die restlichen Sachen und die Wäsche aufs Fahrrad. Baue das Zelt ab. Befülle meinen Wasserkanister. Um 13:10 Uhr bin ich Startklar. Ich verlasse meinen tollen Platz am Meer und schiebe das Rad zur Rezeption. Ich checke aus und bezahle 99 Kuna. Um 13:40 Uhr fahre ich weiter. Ich folge der D106. Die Landschaft ist karg. Aber sehr schön.

Gegen 16 Uhr erreiche ich die Inselhauptstadt Pag. Diese Stadt liegt wunderschön an einer Bucht. Ich schiebe das Rad durch die Stadt. Bei einem kleinen Konzum Supermarkt kaufe ich Getränke und Lebensmittel. Um 17 Uhr verlasse ich Pag. Und folge weiter der D106. Nach kurzer Zeit entdecke ich links einen kleinen Weg. Zwischen sehr hohem Schilf. Spontan schiebe ich das Rad dort hinein. Der Weg führt auf eine Wiese. Umgeben von Schilf. Ein Idealer Platz zum Zelten! Ich baue das Zelt auf. Und richte mich darin ein. Ich hab hier sogar Internet. Das nutze ich und lade den Bericht und die Fotos von Mittwoch hoch. Dann will ich noch den Tagebucheintrag von heute schreiben Aber ich bin zu müde. Obwohl es noch recht früh ist. Also mach ich das Tablet aus und schlafe. Es tut gut, mal wieder auf einem Grasuntergrund zu schlafen. In den letzten Tagen stand ich ja nur auf Steinen.

Ich bin heute etwa 10 km gefahren.

Friday, 19 March

I wake up at about 6.45am. First I go to the sanitary building. Shave. And take a shower. Then I boil water on the gas cooker. I sit down on the lounger on the beach. And have breakfast. Muesli. Drink coffee and my lemon with warm water. Then I upload the daily report and the photos from Tuesday. By now it is 10 o'clock. I start packing up my things. At 11 I go to the laundry. Pick up my laundry. There I meet Jonathan and his family. We have a short chat. I get some financial support from them for my trip. That is great! Then we say goodbye.

I pack the rest of my things and the laundry on the bike. Take down the tent. Fill my water canister. At 1:10 pm I'm ready to go. I leave my great spot by the sea and push the bike to reception. I check out and pay 99 kuna. At 13:40 I ride on. I follow the D106. The landscape is barren. But very beautiful.

Around 4 pm I reach the island capital Pag. This town is beautifully situated on a bay. I push the bike through the town. At a small Konzum supermarket I buy drinks and food. At 5 pm I leave Pag. And continue along the D106. After a short while I discover a small path on the left. Between very high reeds. Spontaneously I push the bike into it. The path leads to a meadow. Surrounded by reeds. An ideal place to camp! I put up the tent. And settle in. I even have internet here. I use it to upload the report and photos from Wednesday. Then I want to write today's diary entry, but I'm too tired. Although it's still quite early. So I turn off the tablet and sleep. It feels good to sleep on a grassy surface again. In the last few days I've only been standing on stones.

I rode about 10 km today.
