Sonntag, 01. September
Es regnet fast die ganze Nacht.
Um 5:45 Uhr klingelt der Wecker.
Es regnet immer noch.
Ich dusche kurz. Dann gehe ich runter.
Heute morgen macht Tara einen spezial Tee für mich.
Schwarztee mit Ingwer und Zitrone. Dazu verschiedene Gewürze.
Wir warten erstmal den Regen ab.
Als der etwas nachlässt, gehen wir Gras schneiden und füttern die Büffel.
Tara gibt mir Gummistiefel.
Das Feld steht unter Wasser. Es ist teilweise so tief, dass es mir fast in die Stiefel läuft.
Durch den Regen ist einer der Papaya Bäume abgeknickt.
Wir “retten” Papayas.
Zum Frühstück gibt es heute Millet (Hirse)
Dann fährt die ganze Familie zur Arbeit bzw. Schule.
Hier in Nepal findet der Unterricht in der Regel montags bis freitags und sonntags von 10 Uhr bis 16 Uhr statt. Um 13:00 Uhr ist eine Stunde Mittagspause.
Ich bin bis etwa 16:30 Uhr alleine auf der Farm.
Da es fast den ganzen Tag in Strömen regnet,
kann ich nichts weiter machen.
Ich schlafe / ruhe mich aus und chatte mit Freunden.
Außerdem schreibe ich den Tagebucheintrag von gestern.
Das Hochladen der vielen Fotos dauert sehr lange.
Später mache ich in einer Regenpause Fotos von der Farm.
Etwa um 17 Uhr trinken Tara und ich wieder den spezial Tee.
Als dann der Regen nachlässt, schneiden wir Gras und füttern die Büffel.
Etwa um 19:40 Uhr gibt es Dinner. Unter anderem wieder Millet.
Ansonsten ist es ein ruhiger und entspannter Tag.
Ab etwa 23:30 Uhr schlafe ich.
Der Tag war geldfrei.
A relaxed rainy day on the farm
Sunday, 01 September
It rains almost all night.
The alarm clock rings at 5.45am.
It's still raining.
I take a quick shower. Then I go downstairs.
This morning Tara makes a special tea for me.
Black tea with ginger and lemon. With various spices.
We wait for the rain to stop.
When it lets up a bit, we go to cut the grass and feed the buffalo.
Tara gives me wellies.
The field is under water. It's so deep in places that it's almost running into my boots.
One of the papaya trees has snapped off due to the rain.
We "rescue" papayas.
We have millet for breakfast today
Then the whole family goes to work or school.
Here in Nepal, lessons usually take place from Monday to Friday and on Sundays from 10am to 4pm. There is an hour's lunch break at 1.00 pm.
I am alone on the farm until about 4.30 pm.
It rains cats and dogs for most of the day,
I can't do anything else.
I sleep / rest and chat with friends.
I also write yesterday's diary entry.
It takes a long time to upload all the photos.
Later, I take photos of the farm during a break in the rain.
At around 5 pm, Tara and I drink the special tea again.
When the rain subsides, we cut the grass and feed the buffalo.
Dinner is served at around 7.40pm. Millet again, among other things.
Otherwise it's a quiet and relaxed day.
I sleep from around 11.30 pm.
The day was free of money.
