<Das war der Mittwoch
Donnerstag, 27. Januar
Um etwa 8:30 Uhr wache ich schon vor dem Wecker klingeln auf. Wie immer bin ich kurz bei Facebook. Und schreibe mit Vanessa. Es geht ihr wieder gut. Ich hoffe wirklich, dass es überstanden ist. Dann packe ich meine Sachen für den Tag und geh rüber.
Agit und die anderen sind am frühstücken. Sie laden mich ein. Agit hat für mich schon Eier mit gekocht. Nach dem Frühstück gehe ich duschen und mich rasieren. Dann wasche ich eine Maschine Wäsche. Ab etwa 11:20 Uhr schreibe ich Tagebuch. Als die Wäsche fertig ist, hänge ich sie auf.
Gegen 13 Uhr ist mein Tagebuch wieder auf dem neuesten Stand. Dann sichere ich die letzten Fotos auf der externen Festplatte. Ich hab auf meinen Fahrten durch Izmir nicht so viele Fotos gemacht. Da ich mit Handschuhen gefahren bin. Ab 13:20 Uhr arbeite ich an meinem Blog. Ich kopiere meine letzten Tagebucheinträge in den Blog. Um 14:30 Uhr stehen die Texte. Ich mache dann die englischen Übersetzungen, setze die Links und lade Fotos hoch. Um 15:30 Uhr ist mein Blog wieder aktuell. Ich teile die Beiträge auf Facebook und mit Freunden.
Später gehe ich zu Fuß in die Stadt. Ich mache einen Spaziergang in der Nähe. Etwa ab 17:20 Uhr setze ich mich beim Bäcker ins Café. Da bleibe ich bei sehr leckerer Torte und Cappuccino bis etwa 18:45 Uhr sitzen und chatte mit Vanessa. Werde noch zu einem Çay eingeladen. Insgesamt bezahle ich nur 50 Lira.
Später kaufe ich noch einen Kanister Trinkwasser.
Ab etwa 19 Uhr bin ich wieder im Studentenwohnheim. Die Hauswirtschafterin kocht für uns. Ich bin zum Essen eingeladen.
Gegen 22 Uhr fahre ich spontan mit Ahmed mit seinem Bus ins Zentrum von Izmir. Wir gehen in eine Bisiklet Bar für Fahrradfahrer. Die hat er vor Jahren eröffnet. Es gibt keinerlei Einlassbeschränkungen. Niemand der Gäste trägt eine Maske. Vom Personal nur einer. Es wird ein richtig toller Abend mit Live Musik und guten Gesprächen. Ich trinke 2 alkoholfreie Cocktails. Dafür bezahle ich nur 40 Lira. Die Jazzband spielt bis etwa 0:30 Uhr. Wir bleiben bis etwa 1 Uhr.
Um etwa 1:30 Uhr bin ich in meinem Zimmer. Trinke dann noch meine Zitrone.
Ab etwa 2 Uhr schlafe ich.

Thursday, 27 January
At about 8:30 I wake up even before the alarm clock rings. As usual, I am briefly on Facebook. And write with Vanessa. She is doing well again. I really hope it's over. Then I pack my things for the day and go over.
Agit and the others are having breakfast. They invite me over. Agit has already cooked eggs for me. After breakfast I take a shower and shave. Then I do a load of laundry. From about 11:20 I write my diary. When the laundry is done, I hang it up.
Around 1 pm my diary is up to date again. Then I back up the last photos on the external hard drive. I didn't take that many photos on my trips through Izmir. Since I drove with gloves on. From 13:20 I work on my blog. I copy my last diary entries into the blog. At 14:30 the texts are ready. I then do the English translations, set the links and upload photos. At 15:30 my blog is up to date again. I share the posts on Facebook and with friends.
Later, I walk into town. I go for a walk in the neighbourhood. Around 17:20, I sit down at the bakery in the café. There I sit with very tasty cake and cappuccino until about 18:45 and chat with Vanessa. I am invited for a Çay. I pay a total of only 50 Lira.
Later I buy a canister of drinking water.
From about 19h I am back at the dormitory. The housekeeper is cooking for us. I am invited to dinner.
Around 10 pm, I spontaneously go with Ahmed on his bus to the centre of Izmir. We go to a Bisiklet bar for cyclists. He opened it years ago. There are no admission restrictions. None of the guests wears a mask. Only one of the staff. It's a really great evening with live music and good conversation. I drink 2 non-alcoholic cocktails. I only pay 40 Lira for them. The jazz band plays until about 0:30. We stay until about 1am.
At about 1:30am I am in my room. Then I drink my lemon.
From about 2am I sleep.
