Freitag, 29. Oktober
Um 8 wache ich auf. Gleich morgens lädt mich Malek, der Mitbewohner von Nur zum Frühstück ein. Er macht eine Schüssel Cornflakes für mich. Ich wasche dann das Geschirr ab. Gegen Mittag macht Nur ein richtig tolles und leckeres 2. Frühstück für uns.
Später kommt ein Freund von ihr zu Besuch. Emder leistet sehr viel Unterstützung für andere Menschen. Unter anderem fährt er mit blinden Menschen auf einem Tandem Fahrrad. Er wollte mit einem Team für Türkei in Tokyo an den Sommer-Paralympics 2020 (Olympische Spiele für Menschen mit Körperbehinderung) teilnehmen. Diese wurden ja auf 2021 verschoben. Die Teilnahme von blinden Tandemradfahrern wurde nicht genehmigt. Jetzt setzt er sich erneut für deren Teilnahme bei den nächsten Paralympics ein.
Später gehen wir zu 3. rüber in die andere Wohnung, die auch zugleich das Büro von Nur ist. Emder möchte auch mich unterstützen. Er guckt sich mein Hinterrad an. Wie ich es mir gedacht habe, Ist die Radnabe kaputt. Ein Freund von Emder hat eine Fahrradwerkstatt. Der würde mir das günstig reparieren. Ich werde im Netz ein neues Radnabe bestellen. Und zu der Adresse von Nur liefern lassen. Das geht innerhalb der Türkei schnell. Und da ich ja ohnehin noch ein paar Tage in Istanbul bleiben möchte passt es. Ab 15:30 Uhr arbeite ich an meinem Tagebuch.
Um 16:15 Uhr gehe ich kurz vor die Tür. Um Milch zu kaufen. Wir sind ja direkt im Zentrum vom Stadtbezirk Kadiköy. Alles ist vor der Tür. Ich hebe Bargeld von meinem Konto ab. Kaufe Milch. Spontan gehe ich in einen Feinkostladen. Und kaufe feines türkisches Gebäck zum Kaffee. Es ist zwar lecker. Aber auch sehr süß.
Dann schreibe ich weiter an meinem Tagebuch.
Abends gehe ich mit Nur und Emder wieder rüber in ihre Wohnung. Nur macht ein tolles Abendessen für uns. Später unterhalte ich mich noch mit Nur und Emder. Ich erzähle von meiner Reise und in Kurzfassung meine Lebensgeschichte. Da Emder kein englisch kann, übersetzt Nur.
Gegen Mitternacht verabschiedet Emder sich.
Ich trinke noch meine Zitrone mit heißem Wasser und richte mir dann wieder das Sofa für die Nacht ein.
Ich bleibe bis Montag hier in der WG.

Friday, 29 October
I wake up at 8. First thing in the morning, Nur's flatmate Malek invites me to breakfast. He makes a bowl of cornflakes for me. I then wash the dishes. Around noon, Nur makes a really great and delicious 2nd breakfast for us.
Later, a friend of hers comes to visit. Emder does a lot of support for other people. Among other things, he rides a bicycle with blind people on a tandem. He wanted to participate in the Summer Paralympics 2020 (Olympic Games for people with physical disabilities) with a team for Turkey in Tokyo. These have been postponed to 2021. The participation of blind tandem cyclists was not allowed. Now he is again campaigning for their participation in the next Paralympics.
Later, the 3 of us go over to the other flat, which is also Nur's office. Emder also wants to support me. He looks at my back wheel. Just as I thought, the wheel hub is broken. A friend of Emder's has a bicycle repair shop. He would fix it for me cheaply. I will order a new wheel hub on the net. And have it delivered to Nur's address. It's quick within Turkey. And since I want to stay in Istanbul for a few more days anyway, it will fit. From 15:30 I work on my diary.
At 16:15 I go outside for a short while. To buy some milk. We are right in the centre of the Kadiköy district. Everything is outside the door. I withdraw cash from my account. Buy milk. On the spur of the moment, I go to a delicatessen. And buy fine Turkish pastries to go with my coffee. It's delicious. But also very sweet.
Then I continue writing my diary.
In the evening, I go with Nur and Emder back over to her flat. Nur makes a great dinner for us. Later I have a chat with Nur and Emder. I tell them about my journey and my life story in brief. Since Emder doesn't speak English, Nur translates.
Around midnight Emder says goodbye.I drink my lemon with hot water and then settle back on the sofa for the night.
I'll stay here in the flat-sharing community until Monday.
