Ich wache heute erst gegen 8 auf. Zuerst packe ich meine Sachen im Zelt zusammen. Dann gehe ich kurz zum Strand. Mache Fotos. Später setze ich mich auf meinen Rucksack und frühstücke Müsli. Ich baue das Zelt ab und belade mein Fahrrad. Dann gehe ich duschen. Um 12:20 Uhr bin ich startklar.
Ich schiebe das Rad zur Rezeption. Checke aus. Und bezahle mit Karte. (Später sehe ich, dass 15,60€ von meinem Konto abgezogen wurden. Damit war diese Nacht sehr teuer für einen Campingplatz).
Gegen 13 Uhr verlasse ich den Campingplatz. Ich fahr zurück zur Hauptstraße. An der Einmündung ist eine Bushaltestelle. Ich setze mich auf die Bank und arbeite an meinem Blog. Ich kann allerdings keine Fotos hochladen. Das Internet ist zu schlecht. Ich sitze sehr lange dort.
Bis ich dann weiter fahre ist es 17:15 Uhr. Jetzt geht es bergauf. Ich schiebe das Rad.
Nach 5 Minuten Husten ein Auto hinter mir. Es ist der orangene Van von Hessel und Jody! Das ist eine tolle Überraschung. Sie sind auch auf dem Weg nach Ohrid. Ihr heutiges Ziel ist ein Campingplatz direkt am See. Kurz vor Ohrid. Spontan entscheide ich, dass ich auch dort übernachte. Sie können mich allerdings nicht mitnehmen, da für das Fahrrad kein Platz ist. Aber mein Gepäck passt in den Van. Also laden wird das Rad komplett ab. Ich nehme nur meinen Rucksack mit. Sie geben mir die Adresse vom Campingplatz. Es sind 21 km. Dann fahren sie vor. Ich fahr ohne Gepäck hinterher. Das ist zunächst ungewöhnlich für mich. Aber obwohl es teilweise bergauf geht, komme ich sehr gut voran. Ich fahr auf einer gut ausgebauten Straße direkt am See entlang. Komme durch mehrere gepflegt Touristenorte. Ich brauche 2 Stunden für die Strecke.
Um etwa 20 Uhr erreiche ich den Campingplatz „Camper Stop Kj Divono" Es ist ein schöner kleiner Campingplatz. Ganz anders als der wo ich letzte Nacht war. Die beiden erwarten mich schon. Ihr Van steht ganz vorne. Mit Blick auf den Strand. Hessel hat mich und das Zelt bereits mit angemeldet. Ich gehöre zur „Familie" Und kann mein Zelt neben den Van stellen. Der Stellplatz kostet für uns 3 inklusive Van und Zelt nur 10€ pro Nacht. Bevor ich das Zelt aufbaue, wollen wir erstmal was essen. Wir gehen ins Restaurant direkt neben unserem Stellplatz. Und bestellen Hamburger. Wir bekommen jeweils einen großen Fleischburger. Ohne Brötchen. Aber gefüllt mit Käse und Schinken. Dazu Salat. Nach dem sehr guten Essen baue ich das Zelt auf. Hessel hilft mir. Mittlerweile ist es dunkel. Aber auf der gemähten Rasenfläche ist der Aufbau schnell gemacht.
Ich setze mich dann noch eine Weile an den Holztisch neben unserem Platz. Ab etwa 23 Uhr schlafe ich.
Ich bin heute 22 km gefahren. (davon 21 km ohne Gepäck)
At Lake Ohrid. Reunion with friends
Wednesday, 21 July
I don't wake up until about 8 today. First I pack up my things in the tent. Then I go to the beach for a short while. Take photos. Later I sit down on my backpack and have breakfast. I take down the tent and load my bike. Then I take a shower. At 12:20 I am ready to start.
I push the bike to the reception. Check out. And pay with a card. (Later I see that 15.60€ were deducted from my account. So this night was very expensive for a campsite).
Around 13h I leave the campsite. I drive back to the main road. At the junction there is a bus stop. I sit down on the bench and work on my blog. I can't upload any photos, though. The internet is too bad. I sit there for a long time.
By the time I drive on, it is 17:15. Now the road is going uphill. I push the bike.
After 5 minutes of coughing a car behind me. It is the orange van of Hessel and Jody! This is a great surprise. They are also on their way to Ohrid. Their destination today is a campsite right on the lake. Just before Ohrid. On the spur of the moment, I decide that I'll spend the night there too. They can't take me with them, though, as there is no room for the bicycle. But my luggage fits into the van. So we unload the bike completely. I only take my backpack. They give me the address of the campsite. It is 21 km. Then they drive ahead. I ride behind without luggage. That is unusual for me at first. But although it is partly uphill, I make good progress. I cycle on a well-built road directly along the lake. I pass through several well-kept tourist villages. It takes me 2 hours to cover the distance.
At about 20h I reach the campsite "Camper Stop Kj Divono" It is a nice little campsite. Quite different from the one where I stayed last night. The two are already waiting for me. Their van is right in front. With a view of the beach. Hessel has already registered me and the tent. I am part of the "family" and can put my tent next to the van. The pitch costs only 10€ per night for the 3 of us, including van and tent. Before I put up the tent, we want to eat something. We go to the restaurant right next to our pitch. And order hamburgers. We each get a big meat burger. Without a bun. But filled with cheese and ham. And a salad. After the very good meal, I put up the tent. Hessel helps me. By now it is dark. But on the mown lawn it is quickly erected.
I then sit down for a while at the wooden table next to our campsite. From about 11 pm I sleep.
I rode 22 km today. (21 km of it without luggage)
