An diesem Donnerstag ist es wieder ruhiger auf dem Campingplatz.
Ich setze mich vor mein Zelt und arbeite an meinem Blog.
Nachmittags hilft Daniel mir. Er und seine Frau sind ja letzte Woche Samstag mit dem Tandem aus Deutschland angereist. Daniel kennt sich gut mit Fahrrädern aus. Gemeinsam checken wir die Technik von meinem Fahrrad. Ich packe es komplett ab. Die hinteren Gepäcktaschen hatte ich ja mit Kabelbinder gesichert. Ich nehme sie erstmals nach der Winterpause in Kroatien ab. Jetzt sehen wir erst, dass eine Strebe vom Gepäckträger gebrochen ist. Daniel fixiert sie neu. Außerdem baut er aus Zeltheringen zusätzliche Halter für die Satteltaschen. Und er fixiert sie mit einem kaputten Fahrradschlauch. So, dass die ohne Kabelbinder halten. Ich kann sie aber trotzdem leicht abnehmen. Außerdem erneuern wir die hinteren Bremsklötze. Daniel zeigt mir, wie die Bremse fachgerecht eingestellt wird. Wir stellen sie vorne und hinten ein. Außerdem ziehen wir alle Schrauben nach. Und Daniel gibt mir viele Tipps für die zukünftige Wartung. Ich bin sehr dankbar für die fachgerechte Hilfe und die Tipps.
Abends sitzen wir noch lange zusammen.

On this Thursday, it is quieter again at the campsite.
I sit down in front of my tent and work on my blog.
In the afternoon Daniel helps me. He and his wife arrived from Germany on a tandem last week. Daniel knows his way around bicycles. Together we check the technology of my bike. I unpack it completely. I had secured the rear panniers with cable ties. I take them off for the first time after the winter break in Croatia. Only now do we see that a strut on the luggage rack is broken. Daniel fixes it again. He also builds additional holders for the saddle bags from tent pegs. And he fixes them with a broken bicycle tube. So that they hold without cable ties. But I can still take them off easily. We also replace the rear brake pads. Daniel shows me how to adjust the brakes properly. We adjust them front and rear. We also tighten all the screws. And Daniel gives me lots of tips for future maintenance. I am very grateful for the professional help and tips.
In the evening we sit together for a long time.
