Šibenik

<Das war der Mittwoch 

Donnerstag, 25. März

Um 6:20 Uhr wache ich auf. Da auf dem nahen Weg hin und wieder Autos fahren, und mein Zeltplatz einsehbar ist, wasche ich mich schnell und packe dann ruckzuck zusammen und baue das Zelt ab. Um 8:30 Uhr verlasse ich den Platz.

Um 9:30 Uhr erreiche ich Šibenik. Ich schiebe das Rad durch die Stadt. Um 9:45 Uhr komme ich an einer Bushaltestelle vorbei. Hier mache ich eine längere Pause. Ich frühstücke Müsli. Dann schreibe ich den Bericht von gestern. Und lade ihn hoch.

Um 12 setze ich die Tour durch die Stadt fort. Ich gehe zunächst zum Yachthafen. Dann komme ich an der Altstadt vorbei. Hier sind sehr viele Sehenswürdigkeiten. Viele Kirchen und alte Gebäude. Ich mache viele Fotos. Kann Abpraller nur kurz angucken. Da ich ja vor dem Abend die Stadt wieder verlassen will. Ich bekomme einen kurzen und interessanten Eindruck von dieser tollen Stadt. Später bin ich im neueren Teil. In einem kleinen Geschäft kaufe ich Getränke und Lebensmittel für den Tag. Dann schiebe ich das Rad langsam wieder Stadtauswärts. Gegen 16 Uhr trinke ich in einem Café einen Cappuccino.  Ich bitte die Kellnerin, meinen kleinen Wasserkanister aufzufüllen. Um 17 Uhr verlasse ich šibenik wieder.

Ich bin jetzt auf der D58. Ich fahre noch etwa 10 km. Heute ist die Suche nach einem Platz zum Zelten etwas schwieriger. Auf beiden Seiten der Straße sind Plantagen mit Obstbäumen. Es dauert lange bis ich etwas abseits ein Stückchen ungenutztes Land entdecke. Um Ärger zu vermeiden, achte in Zukunft darauf, beim wildcampen einen Platz zu Finden, der nicht einsehbar ist. Dass ich kein Feuer mache und meinen Müll mitnehme, ist für mich eh selbstverständlich. Ich baue das Zelt auf. Gut, dass der Mond heute so hell ist.

Bis ich im Zelt liege, ist es 20 Uhr. Ich esse dann noch Baguette mit Käse,  Schinken, Gurke und Paprika. Und trinke meine Zitrone. Ab etwa 21:30 Uhr schlafe ich. Zur Zeit  schlafe ich schon sehr früh. Und recht lange. Aber das ist auch gut so. Schlaf ist genau so wichtig wie körperliche Aktivität. 

Ich bin heute 20 km gefahren.

Thursday, 25 March

I wake up at 6:20 am. Since there are cars driving on the nearby road from time to time, and my campsite is visible, I quickly wash up and then pack up and take down the tent in no time. At 8:30 I leave the campsite.

At 9:30 I reach Šibenik. I push the bike through the town. At 9:45 I pass a bus stop. Here I take a longer break. I have some muesli for breakfast. Then I write the report from yesterday. And upload it.

At 12 I continue the tour through the city. First I go to the marina. Then I pass the old town. There are many sights here. Many churches and old buildings. I take many photos. Can only look at Abpraller for a short time. Since I want to leave the city again before evening. I get a short and interesting impression of this great city. Later I am in the newer part. In a small shop I buy drinks and food for the day. Then I slowly push the bike out of town again. Around 16h I have a cappuccino in a café.  I ask the waitress to fill up my small water canister. At 5 pm I leave šibenik again.

I am now on the D58. I drive another 10 km or so. Today the search for a place to camp is a bit more difficult. On both sides of the road are plantations with fruit trees. It takes a long time until I discover a piece of unused land a bit off the road. To avoid trouble, I make sure in future to find a place that is not visible when camping in the wild. It goes without saying that I don't make a fire and take my rubbish with me. I put up the tent. It's good that the moon is so bright today.

By the time I'm lying in the tent, it's 8 pm. I eat a baguette with cheese, ham, cucumber and peppers. And drink my lemon. From about 21:30 I sleep. At the moment I sleep very early. And for quite a long time. But that is also good. Sleep is just as important as physical activity. 

I rode 20 km today.
